Hackathon

The Research & Practice Hackathon brings conference participants together for spontaneous, high‑energy exchanges around a set of curated topics. Designed as a counterpoint to the more structured rhythm of paper sessions and traditional workshops, the Hackathon creates space for informal, small‑group interaction that sparks new connections and insights.

The format is intentionally flexible. Each topic session may take the shape of short presentations, demos, tutorials, discussions, debates, or collaborative work sprints – whatever best supports exploration and exchange. Participants can join any topic freely, subject to conference registration, room capacity or format-specific limitations and do not need to register in advance.

The Hackathon is scheduled for Thursday, 10 September 2026 at EPFL Lausanne from 14:30 to approx. 17:15 CEST.
